Hello to all.

As you know, I had to skip over May’s newsletter due to travel schedules. This is my only time back in the office in June, so I knew that I had better get this issue out now.

We have a full fall and winter schedule and are booking fast for 2007. I hope to see you on the road.

Anyway, this month’s issue is packed with information: three June super book sales, a guest writer, quotes (Mind Food), a new addition, “A Funny Motivational Moment On,” and a longer than normal article from yours truly on the Universal Law of Flow. (Plus, a little plug for our services at trade shows, meetings, and events, as well as my books and products. J )

Speaking of Universal Laws, you may want to check out one of my new sites – It has some great information, free audio downloads from some of my audio CDs, free ebooks, quotes, and more. It is more of a spiritual site, than say… .  Hope you enjoy it.

Kathy Marcove joins MCC!

Universal Laws – Go With the Flow

Understanding the Universal Law of Flow

Have you ever taken a moment out of a busy day to look at nature? Depending on what time of year you are reading this, if you look out a window, you will witness a number of things going on.

You might see snow falling or rain pouring from the heavens. You might see a beautiful sunny day with tall trees and branches filled with leaves or birds flying in the sky. As the seasons pass, you witness a change in nature that is natural and timeless. The trees and grass don’t fight the change of seasons. Nor do birds or other animals, plants or flowers. The sun doesn’t argue with the clouds when rain or snow falls. Nature just does. Nature, naturally, follows the Universal Law of Flow.

Life, like nature, follows the Universal Law of Flow. Our spirit is born into a physical form, we experience life, and then we shed our physical form. Our ideas and goals also follow the Universal Law of Flow. They begin with our thoughts and ends with a result or effect.

The Universal Law of Flow dictates that there is a natural flow or rhythm to everything. You can’t rush spring after winter or rush a tulip bud to break soil and become a beautiful flower. You can whine and complain about winter being too cold, but that won’t speed up spring. You can sit in your garden and shout at your tulips, but they won’t grow any faster.

So, if nature has a flow, why do many people think that they are above that?

People understand that it takes time for nature to turn a tulip bulb into a tulip, yet can’t understand why it takes time for their ideas to become reality or goals to be accomplished. People don’t like to wait for the situation (seasons) to change. We are impatient and demand quick results.

Strangely enough, due to our impatience, we tend to focus our thoughts on the observation that what we desire is not here yet. In other words, we focus on what we lack or don’t have. Thinking thoughts of lack actually hinders the process of having our ideas and goals become reality, because instead of focusing on what we want – an accomplished idea or goal – we focus on lack. And, what you focus on you get.

The Universal Law of Flow requires meekness. What do I mean by meekness?

I’m sure that you have heard the saying of Jesus, “The meek shall inherit the Earth.” Meek doesn’t mean weak or inactivity. By meek, Jesus meant humble. Standing back, focusing on the outcome that you desire, knowing that it is already accomplished and waiting for the Universal Flow to bring this desire into physical or visible form is meekness.

Meek means being patient and being willing to put your ego aside, stand back, and let the Laws work. When it comes to our ideals and goals, we often set up time parameters and become upset, if they are not met. Why do we feel the need to set up time parameters for everything? Albert Einstein once said, “Time was invented by man, due to his incessant need to compartmentalize everything.” He was right. We place time limits and demands on other people to “perform” the way we “want then to,” and we put time limits and demands on the Universe or God to deliver our ideas and goals into reality, when we want them.

Putting a timetable or demand on when your idea or goal should become reality is about as effective as trying to demand when winter should become spring. According to man, the first day of winter is around December 21st, but how many times does it snow in November? According to man, the first day of summer is June 21st, but how often does the heat index zoom off the chart, before that day?

Nature doesn’t follow time; it just flows. Nature is meek in that it follows the Universal Laws that have been put into place by a Universal Power or Spirit or God.

Like nature, we need to be meek. We need to focus on what we want and recognize that it is already accomplished (Matthew 6:8 - “God knows what you need before you ask.”) Then we must stand back, be patient, and go with the flow, by waiting for the Universal Law of Flow to take our ideas and goals and bring them into material form.

NeuroLinguistic Programming - the Key That Unlocks Psychological Change!

By Michael McGrath

In the early 1970s in America Richard Bandler, then a young college student studied the work of Fritz Perls and later Virginia Satir and found that he could reproduce their high-level therapy skills to a degree that even surprised him. Bandler seemed to have a natural ability to mimic (model) the language patterns by Virginia and Fritz.

At the University of California at Santa Cruz, Bandler who was well versed in the teachings of patterns in mathematics and computers teamed up with a college professor, John Grinder to help him understand the processes that were at work. Soon Bandler and Grinder, who used what he knew about patterns in linguistics, created a new model for personal growth called NeuroLinguistic Programming.

Bandler and Grinder had set out to model the hypnotic skills of Milton Erickson. They had astounding results. They built a communication model about human "thinking" and "processing" and used that model of how we see images, hear sounds, reproduces smells and tactile experiences in our mind to track and model the structure of subjective experiences.

Sounds very complicated but really it works very simply. Here is an example as used by Paul McKenna - probably the best & most successful hypnotist in the world.

Close your eyes and think of a negative memory. Become involved in the situation as best as you can. Feel the emotions that you felt, see the things you saw and hear the things you heard.

Now take that memory and project it onto a mental screen seeing yourself in the picture. Put a frame around the picture and view it as if it is an old photograph. Next drain all the color from the picture and shrink the screen to the size of a matchbox.

Have the feelings associated with the picture decreased in any way?

Another good example of NLP involves Anchors. Have you ever smelled a certain perfume or aftershave and had it remind you of a certain person or situation? Gone to a certain place that brings feelings long forgotten flooding back? Or been in any situation that creates emotional responses that would not normally be associated with it? Well if you can answer yes to any of these then you have experienced anchors. Some anchors are associated with positive feelings and some with negative emotions. However, you should be aware that anchors can be consciously installed or already existing ones altered. Here is an example:

Think of a time when you were really happy. If you can't think of one then imagine something that would make you feel really happy. See what you would see, hear what you would hear and feel what you would feel. Really get into the picture and try to experience it as though it were happening now.

Now brighten the colors and make them richer. Increase the volume. Make the picture bigger, brighter, louder. That's it and more and more....

Now press your first finger against your thumb and fully experience your happy feelings. Do this everyday for 2 weeks and you will create an anchor that will instantly recreate these feelings. Whenever you want to feel like that again just press your thumb and first finger together and wham the feelings will come flooding back! Don't believe me? Just try it and see!!!

A Funny MOtivational Moment on – Customer Service.

One day, a man was cleaning out an old desk drawer and found an old shoe repair ticket. The repair ticket was all faded and yellow and the man thought that the ticket must be a few years old. For kicks, he decided to visit the shoe repair shop, later that day. When he entered the shop, he gave the ticket to the man behind the counter. The shoe repairman looked at the ticket, walked off to the back room, and when he returned, he said, “They’ll be ready next Tuesday.”

My company, MCC – Motivative & Communicative Concepts – is known for helping its clients maximize attention and quality leads at trade shows and for making meetings and events fun and exciting.

My associates and I are specialists. By that, I mean we specialize in mixing a business or motivational message with magic and fun at corporate functions, worldwide. That's all we do. We are not general practitioners that perform at a variety of places - only corporate functions. Just like when you go to a doctor, there is a world of difference between a general practitioner and a specialist. If the outcome that you desire is critical (such as at a trade show), you want a magician/spokesperson who can attract crowds to your booth and get you targeted leads. Or at a meeting for customers or employees, if you want a speaker who is not only entertaining, but also has proven and powerful content - then you want a specialist.

Again, if the outcome that you desire is important (and when in business is the outcome not important?) get a specialist. That’s us. So, give us a call now!
