The Latest!
2007 … SIMPLY SENSATIONAL!
(Bob will also be traveling to Lake Maggiore, Italy and Bangkok, Thailand repeating his participation for ABB’s EMEA and Asia Sales Summits in October and December. The forecast is for many, many mileage points ahead!) September is jam-packed, but before forging further into the fall and looking at 2007... BOB JOINS FORCES WITH STEPHEN COVEY AND KEN BLANCHARD FOR NEW BOOK
Because of Bob’s ideas and strategies for success, he has joined forces with Steven Covey and Ken Blanchard to create a new book called Blueprint for Success – Proven Strategies for Success and Survival. To be released the summer of 2008 (a more specific date will be forthcoming), Bob just finished and delivered his contribution to this exciting publication into the hands of the publisher! Bob is exuberant and also honored to have been chosen to be a part of such a noteworthy project. (To be available in all major bookstores, Blueprint will also be available on www.bobgarner.com.) This book proves that Bob is an entertaining motivational speaker who actually has something to say! PICKING UP WHERE WE LEFT OFF … If you read the last edition of the “Latest Page,” you know that Bob was busier than a snowplow in Montana, during January 2007. In January, Bob mixed his mindreading and motivational message for 1st Advantage FCU, and at numerous meetings and events for Cognizant, Beckman Coulter, and Delmia. Bob left his office right after the first of the year and didn’t return, until literally the 2nd of February. But, he didn’t sit for more than a day before he was off to Cincinnati, just minutes ahead of one of the worst winter storms of 2007, for the Aurora Casket Company’s National Sales Meeting. Never having done something for a client in the funeral industry, Bob didn’t quite know what to expect, but the reps were absolutely wonderful – and a real hoot! After Bob’s ESP – Expect Something Phenomenal presentation – the VP of Sales had this to say: “Your presentation was a highlight of the best sales meeting we ever had. Everyone is still amazed at your ability to read minds and how you did it has been the subject of much debate at the water cooler. I know we got much more for our money that we expected and our expectations were high. Fantastic!"
A week later at HIMSS 2007, it was a full house in New Orleans. While Bob was onboard with client MD Consult – Elsevier’s electronic medical information resource division, associate Barry Tamarkin was informing attendees (for a second year in a row) about ePlus Technology, associates Dave Levitan and Bill Jones were “tag teaming” presentations for Smart Document Solutions, and associate tech presenter, Leslie Chambers was delivering the marketing message for EMC. Directly from the Big Easy, Bob boarded a red-eye bound for Seattle and the Society for Interventional Radiology’s annual scientific meeting. Back again with client Cardinal Health to inform the radiology professionals about the benefits of working with the “chain of care” leader, Cardinal Health said they gained even MORE attention and activity at SIR 2007, because of Bob, than they had at SIR 2006, because of Bob! (Plus Bob and the Cardinal exhibit were featured in the May-June issue of the SIR’s publication IR News, showing them as THE highlight of the technical hall!)
“At our 2007 ABB World Conference, Bob delivered one presentation for our international sales group and one for our customers – and he did an outstanding job! Bob was a terrific addition to our event.”
As soon as it was “lights out” at the Moscone Convention Center, Bob hopped a plane at SFO to … well, Orlando – for the 3rd time in 8 weeks. This time, Bob was off to Cognizant Technology Solutions 2007 Telecom Managers’ Meeting at the Disney Yacht & Beach Club. Bob presented his ESP program and, as a gift from the IME Group manager, everyone got a copy of Bob’s book ESP – Untap Your Psychic Potential – as a memento of the conference! And this started April… "At our 2007 National Manager’s meeting, Bob was fantastic. His informative, inspirational, yet entertaining presentation was right on target. His books, after the event, went flying off the table!"
AN AMAZING APRIL - EASING DOWN THE EAST COAST While associate tech narrator Leslie Chambers opened her first of four days at the NAB 2007 in Las Vegas with the EMC Corporation, Bob was jetting to Boston for client BancTec, Inc. at AIIM 2007, the annual event for the Enterprise Content & Information Management industry. Immediately from there, Bob headed down to Charlotte, North Carolina and the gorgeous Ballantyne Resort to present ESP for the employees of Lastar, Inc., who had earned the privilege of being treated to this beautiful location for their 2007 Incentive Meeting.
Speeding off to Atlanta’s airport, Bob caught the last flight of the night into Washington DC. The next afternoon, he presented Make the Magic Happen at a Staff Appreciation Week luncheon for the supporting employees of Bryan Cave LLP - a diversified international law firm serving the world’s leading business and financial markets.
MOVING INTO MAY – VISIONS OF VIENNA
Barely back in California for 24 hours, Bob headed down to San Antonio, Texas and the Society of Design Administration’s EDSymposium’s 2007. As the wrap-up speaker at the Awards Dinner for this affiliate of the American Institute of Architects, attendees were awe-struck with Bob’s customized ESP presentation. After the event, the group’s president offered this statement:
"A standing ovation! We loved Bob’s humor, were amazed by his mindreading, and drawn in by his message. An incredible blend of entertainment and comedy, customized for our audience. He did his homework."
Bob didn’t even need to put away his passport, for it was off to vibrant Vienna, Austria for SAPphire Vienna 2007 – the EMEA’s sister event to SAPphrie Atlanta. Bob was onboard this time for Network Appliance – a world leader in unified storage solutions. It’s not hard to believe that NetApp created the “buzz” and had the dominant presence at the show. Every time Bob got up to present NetApp’s marketing message (mixed with mindreading miracles) – attendees gathered 4 and 5 rows deep! Then, it was time to really “fasten the seat belts” … While Bob cleared customs back in the States - so he could get to Denver and the VHA 2007 for client ePlus Technology - associate Barry Tamarkin headed to Philadelphia and the MLA 2007 with client MD Consult/Elsevier. Simultaneously, as Dave Levitan winged to Las Vegas and the McKesson 2007 Sales Conference for client Beckman Coulter, tech presenter Leslie Chambers was enroute to Orlando for yet another project with EMC– this time for their own users’ event – EMC World. One day later, tech presenter Bill Jones and assistant Stevee Ashlock headed to Las Vegas and Network Interop 2007 for long-time client Avocent, while juggler/presenter Alan Johnson also arrived at Interop Vegas for EMC for this global business technology event! WOW! Even Bob couldn’t be in six places at one time, so we were (and are) thankful for some really great and capable associates!
SAILING INTO SUMMER As we turned the page on the calendar, the first week of June was a busy one. While Bob stayed on the West Coast for DAC 2007 in San Diego for client Tanner EDA (his 4th year at the show for Tanner), associates Dave Levitan and Leslie Chambers were are Microsoft Tech Ed in Orlando for clients Quest Software and EMC, respectively. After DAC, Bob headed to Chicago and NxtComm 2007 for Comes & Zeyben Marketing and their client DiTech Networks. Immediately after the event, DiTech grabbed Bob for VON 2007 and Ms. Zeyben had this to say: “Bob did a fantastic job of helping my client create a major buzz on the trade show floor and bring home some great leads. With Bob in our booth we had over a 600% increase in leads, which is the most my client has had in over 3 years.”
From San Jose, Bob headed westward to Couer d’Alene, Idaho and the Couer d’Alene Resort for the Washington Bankers Association’s 2007 Conference. At their gala function, Bob’s mindreading marvels, clean comedy and audience interaction was, according to the SVP of the organization, “an absolute hit” and further commented on the following of people Bob had after the event was done! July saw Bob in Milwaukee for the Hollymatic Corporation and their Dealers’ Network Conference. Even though that Midwestern weather (again) proved really uncooperative – Bob made it to the fair city to deliver his ESP presentation to wrap the meeting! A week later, it was back to Chicago – this time sans massive thunderstorms – for the International Food Technologist’s conference - with long-time client Wayne Farms. Bob kept a continuous crowd going at the exhibit. It was Wayne Farm’s best show ever. While Bob was getting ready to go back to San Antonio to be featured at the Cardinal Health’s 2007 National Sales Training Meeting – associate tech presenter Bill Jones (who had snagged new client Mellanox Technologies from his presentations at Interop Vegas) was off to Linux 2007 in San Francisco. (Impressed by Bill and pleased with their marked increase in leads and ROI at Linux, Mellanox immediately signed Bill to do their theatre marketing presentation at November’s SuperComputing in Reno.) Also onboard at Linux were tech presenter Leslie Chambers and assistant Stevee Ashlock for Avocent. (Leslie and Stevee will be with Avocent - for the 3rd year in a row - for multiple shows in 2008. Way to go!) Then it was back to Milwaukee for api Software’s Client Forum. Wrapping up the 2007 gathering, Bob presented ESP – Expect Something Phenomenal … and the event’s coordinator was quick to say this:
“Bob was an amazing part of our evening. Our guests were thoroughly astounded and completely entertained!”
